University of Kurdistan Hewlêr (UKH) Creativity & Entrepreneurship Centre (CEC) launches a special Entrepreneurship Training Programme that seeks to encourage and inspire young people to consider entrepreneurship as a valid and an alternative career choice by providing them, training, skills and creating role models and motivates them to start their own business. The training is scheduled to start on 14 December 2020.

CEC will play a crucial role in giving training, developing materials, consulting and connecting the participants to potential investors. This is a 10 weeks programme in which 12 teams will be selected through an open call, and three teams will be chosen from the Hackathon (Erbil Entrepreneurship Competition). A total of 15 teams will participate in the training programme.

During the training, the selected 15 teams will be divided into two different groups due to the precautious measures adopted at UKH against the spread Covid-19. Each group will have four hours of training, two days a week over the course of 10 weeks. A business plan will be developed by each team with continuous support from the mentors and trainers.

By the end of the training, participants will pitch their business ideas to judges and potential investors and five winners will get grants.

UKH Creativity and Entrepreneurship Centre will monitor the payment executions, and the payments will be executed in two different payments, rather than a one-time payment. Each applicant must fulfil the conditions of this programme. The contents of the application form will be used to choose
