The University of Kurdistan Hewler awarded a Rojava student, who lives now in one of the Kurdistan Region's refugee camps, with a scholarship to study at the University.
On Wednesday, Vice Chancellor Dr Mohammed Mochtar, welcomed Mohammed Dara Abdi, a 12th grade student who has achieved 92 grade in the baccealuate examinations.
Vice Chancellor praised the students' excellence in his studies and rewarded him with a refugee scholarship to study at the University of Kurdistan Hewler. He also thanked the Consul General of France in recommending UKH to the student as the top university in the Kurdistan Region.
Mohammed Dara Abdi has since 2014 been living and studying in a refugee camp in the Khabat subdistrict, northwest Erbil.
