Vice Chancellor's Message on End of Academic Year

The Vice-Chancellor Dr Mohammed Mochtar sends students a message for the start of the examination period and approaching end of this academic year. The following is his message:

My Dearest Students,

As our academic year is coming to an end and your final exams have started, I would like to express my best wishes to all our beloved students. I hope you all are motivated and ready for the next two weeks which are the decisive period of your entire semester. As students of UKH, you should always be motivated to step forward and face the academic challenges you experience during your course of studies. Motivation is the key for you all to work hard and succeed, which, no doubt is always expected from a student at this prestigious institution.

During the 2018/2019 Academic Year, our University accomplished many big achievements. UKH entered the national ranking of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for the first time since its establishment, and came out on the top of all universities in the Kurdistan Region, became internationally accredited, signed new agreements with international institutions, opened new departments, and most importantly, initiated the construction process of its new campus.

At the end of every academic year, not only do we need to look back at the accomplishments, but we also need to plan new objectives and targets to achieve for the next week. As Vice Chancellor, I promise to all the students and staff of our University there will be more success and achievement to come in the upcoming year. I also would like to reiterate that the University remains supportive of each and every student, and that all the doors of any staff member is always open to you.

We also have a large number of students graduating this year and leaving this place where they have been calling it home for the past few years. Similar to the previous cohorts, they are going to make incredible achievements for themselves, their families and for the University. They are going to make great contributions to Kurdistan while holding the UKH brand.

Once again, I encourage you all to make an effort and work extremely hard during the next two weeks, and I personally wish you all the best in your final exams, essays and dissertations.

Dr. Mohammed Mochtar
Vice Chancellor
