Omeid Rahmani

Overview
Omeid has a Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering from University Technology Malaysia (UTM). He joined UKH as a Researcher in April 2017 and currently works as a Senior Research Fellow. Omeid’s contribution leads to publishing articles under UKH affiliation with a cumulative impact factor of 105.417 till October 2022. Omeid is currently serving as the Academic Editor of PLOS ONE (IF=3.752), Topical Advisory Panel of Minerals (IF=2.818), Guest Editor of Special issue in Minerals (IF=2.818), Editor of Carbonate & Evaporates (IF=1.492), Guest Editor of Mining (Special Issues and Collections in MDPI journals), the active reviewer board for the Journal of Petroleum Science and Engineering (IF=5.168) & other prestigious journals in Elsevier, ACS, RSC, Springer, MDPI, Emerald, and Wiley reviewing 233manuscripts till October 2022. He has also delivered a diverse range of projects in CO2 sequestration by using industrial wastes and natural minerals, enhanced oil recovery (EOR) by adsorption of surfactant & nanoparticles from aqueous solutions in porous media, and by ultrasonic simulated water-flooding conducted on a long unconsolidated sand pack. His current project is Oil-well lightweight cement slurry for improving compressive strength and hydration rate in low-temperature conditions.
