To foster sustainable development of antiquity, cultural heritage, and humanities in Iraq, and Kurdistan Region, together with the Nahrein Network and other international partners, CCHH provides the following opportunities:
1- Research Grant Awards
Research Grant Awards support interdisciplinary research on themes related to one or more of the Network’s aims. Two types of awards are offered:
- Small grants; up to £30,000(FEC) for projects led by Iraqi, Lebanese or Turkish researchers, or collaborations with UK researchers.
- Large grants up to £100,000(FEC) for collaborations between Iraqi, Lebanese or Turkish and UK researchers
The Final round for research grant award has now open until 15 Nov. 2019.
During the final round, we will offer only the small grant awards up to £30,000 for projects on Sustainable Development of Heritage, History and Humanities.

2- Visiting Scholarships Scheme
Visiting Scholarships Scheme aims to enhance the capacity of Iraqi and Kurdish scholars to engage in the sustainable development of the country’s cultural heritage. It enables academics, cultural heritage professionals, and NGO workers from Iraq to visit the UK for 1-2 months for training and research.
Applications for Visiting Scholarships Scheme are now closed to reopen in Nov. 2019.
