Austrian Lawmaker Ewa Ernst-Dziedzic Visits UKH

The Centre for Peacebuilding and Dialogue (CPD) at the University of Kurdistan Hewlêr (UKH) organised a roundtable discussion for the Austrian politician, Ewa Ernst-Dzidzic on Mapping Migration from Iraq and Syria: The European Response.

Ms. Ewa spoke about the issue of migration from security and human rights perspectives and the European Union policies managing the issue in Europe and Austria. 

Participants contributed with questions and suggestions on topics such as integration of migrants in a variety of sectors and levels of labor and European societies, and the need to resolve the root causes of migration.

Ms. Ewa was accompanied by Austrian Chargé d’affaires in Baghdad, Mr. Andrea Nasi, who also contributed with Austrian experience with the issue of migration.

Ewa Ernst-Dziedzic is a Polish-born Austrian political scientist and philosopher. She’s a member of the Austrian parliament and foreign policy spokesperson for the Green Party.
