Dr Abdullah Awdal joined the Department of Natural Resources Engineering and Management at UKH in May 2017. He received his PhD degree in Geology from the University of Aberdeen in the United Kingdom. He also holds a MSc degree in Petroleum Geoscience from the University of Bergen in Norway.
Dr Awdal is structural geologist with over 8 years experience in oil and gas industry and academia. He has been actively involved in a variety of projects in Kurdistan, Norway and United Kingdom. His research in the field of Petroleum Geology has resulted in a number of published articles in peer reviewed journals.
