Dr Abdullah Awdal joined the Department of Natural Resources Engineering and Management at UKH in October 2016. He received his PhD degree in Geology from the University of Aberdeen in the United Kingdom. He also holds a MSc degree in Petroleum Geoscience from the University of Bergen in Norway.
Dr Awdal is Petroleum Geologist with over 10 years experience in oil and gas industry and academia. He has been actively involved in a variety of exploration projects both onshore and offshore in Kurdistan, Norway and the United Kingdom. His research in the field of Petroleum Geoscience has resulted in a number of published articles in peer-reviewed journals.
